Hurworth House to Take Girls!
The board of Governors are delighted to announce that from September 2008 that girls will be admitted to the Junior School of Hurworth House School.
Chairman of Governors, Alan Theakston said, 'the Board feel that this is a very positive advance for the School and one that will both enhance its reputation still further and be of enormous benefit for all concerned in the future'.
Pictured is five year old Casey-Lee O'Rouke, the daughter of the School's Head of Mathematics, Kerry O'Rouke. Casey-Lee is the first girl to register into the Junior School.

Visit to the Battlefields of the First World War
Twenty boys from Year 8 to Year 10 visited the historic battlefields of World War One during half term. Travelling by coach and ferry via Hull, the group had a packed five days visiting the Western Front.
